So a few days ago I had dinner with Brian. It was pretty exciting. I met him at Suburban Street Station in Philadelphia. We decided to not to directly call each other before meeting each other because that would be weird. To talk to someone whom we've been corresponding with for about a month now. So instead, we text each other a lot. Text messages ranging from "I'm on the R6 coming in at 6:30" and "Where are you?" The train station was very confusing. He said he'll meet me when I ascend the stairs but there were many staircases so he didn't know which one I was going to be coming up from.
But good thing we got that solved. I actually sent him the text message "Where are you?" and immediately after this I saw a figure in the distance calling somebody on his cellphone and moments later, my cellphone was ringing so I figured that it was him.
We had dinner at this Malaysian fusion restaurant called Penang. It was very pleasent and I had a very good time with him. After this, as we are both college students, we went our separate ways. We had so much work to do. I had to read Agamemnon (a 50 8x11 page Greek play) as well as math. So it was probably for the better that we parted ways at 10:00.
Now, I've been meaning to e-mail him but there's nothing really to talk about. I don't know but I think I went through this with my other friend. Once I met him offline, I didn't really want to talk to him online anymore because I preferred his offline personality. So I would rather hang out with him, no matter how unconvenient that was, rather than see him online.
Perhaps this is also the case with Brian. But sooner or later I shall send him an e-mail. I mean, I've already thanked him for the meal and everything. But you know.
